My favorite way to do so..snuggling with my dog Twila! Twila can be found most days lounging on our bed in the warm glow of the sunlight coming through the windows. While my husband never puts up with her being on our bed, I on the other hand look into her beautiful eyes and at that adorable face and my heart just melts. So when he is at work she is on our bed. Shh, it will be our little secret. And when I need a little break, I join her!
There really is nothing that can compare to these quiet moments that I spend with my dog. Being next to her puts a smile on my face, makes me feels a sense of bliss and fills my heart with love. What a wonderful way to spend time!
i'm not a doggie person (more of a mad cat lady!), but look at those eyes?? don't think i could resist them either!
ReplyDeletepromise not to tell your hubbie :)

Oh my goodness...my heart is melting, too!! I completely understand why you let her on the bed!!!
ReplyDeleteCompletely agree! I love a good snuggle with my dog - nothing calms quite like that
ReplyDeleteAww... She is beautiful. One of the best teachers in life are dogs. They show us every day how to take time for themselves!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet picture of Twila!! Oh my goodness, who could resist! I was the same way with our dogs, gosh I miss them. Time with your pup is wonderful - fills your heart with so much contentment!
ReplyDeleteCuddling with sweet Twila does seem like bliss. Wonderful picture!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful dog! I love spending time with my little dogs as well. There is nothing like snuggling with the puppies!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful to have a special someone who can brighten up your day! :-)

Oh what a sweetie, looking ever so innocent. I've never been a dog owner myself but my best friend growing up had the sweetest dog who would always greet me with the most conversational barking. That's not even the right word for it, but sort of drawn out mumblings. Anyways, she would always be up to no good until the mum of the house, the clear Master, would walk into the room and she would fall in line. Fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet picture. My husband and I wouldn't allow our dog on the bed either. Then we found out we were both letting her on if the other one wasn't there! She dominates the bed now!
ReplyDeleteAwww, she's so sweet! That darling face is just captivating!
ReplyDeleteLOVE!! I just want to give her a kiss on the nose!! I can see how she can bring a smile to your face, those eyes!!
ReplyDeleteLooking at the photo I can see why it would be hard to tell her no. it's funny, i was thinking of the phrase when Daddy says no ask Mom. I really like your blog header photo as well.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathleen,
ReplyDeleteDogs have a way of melting the heart and getting us to give in to what they want. She is a beautiful dog.

What a sweet face and I can understand wanting to spend your free moments with her! Must spend time with the fur babies to re-charge :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful tribute to Twila. Frank waits for me to take a break from my jewelry so he can hop onto my lap and get scratched.
ReplyDeleteI love having my dog around during the day when everyone else is at school or work. She keeps me company and comforts me. Looks like Twila is one lucky dog!
ReplyDeleteAwww, that's so sweet. My cat, Hope, is under my feet as I sit at the computer typing this. There's nothing like a pet. People who don't have one don't know what they are missing.
ReplyDeleteHow can you resist that sweet face? I bet getting lost in those pools of liquid chocolate eyes would never get old. Enjoy the day. Erin
ReplyDeleteTwila is gorgeous! I totally agree with you. They are such wonderful beings and sometimes bring everything back into perspective. I mean like how wonderful to nap on a cushy surface in the sunlight with no worries?!?!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovie face Twila has - makes you just want to hug her!! Great photo and wonderful post!
ReplyDeleteHow can your husband resist that sweet face? She's a doll!
